Happy Thursday, y'all! I'm all sophisticated and professional today in this lovely tweed dress. As much as I adore fun colors, bold patterns and trendy statement pieces, I spend most of my days (thus time) dressed in business attire. I realize the definition of business attire is open for interpretation and varies greatly across industry/company, but for me, as a Finance professional in Chicago, it means conservative business pieces (i.e, Suits, Tailored Dresses, Structured Blazers, etc.).
Basically, what I'm saying, is that I can't really express myself in the way that I would like Monday - Friday via my clothes. So what do I do?! Well, I add some "sassy" accessories to my "classy" business attire and error on the side of caution. For this particular outfit, I played up the neckline of the dress by adding a bib necklace, and I wore blue pumps (with an office-appropriate heel height) to accentuate the blue hues of the dress. By adding a few trendy accessories to this outfit, I feel more like myself, yet I still look polished and professional. What are your tricks for jazzing up your professional looks?
Thank y'all so much for stopping by. May your day be as beautiful as you are!
