Happy Friday! I hope y'all won't mind, but today I'm doing something a little different. Instead of my normal outfit post, I thought it would be fun to share with you a little bit about my wedding. As some of you may know, I got married to the love of my life, Jason, this past September, and given that wedding season is now fully underway, I thought a post about our recent wedding would be fitting. So, I hope you'll enjoy as I share with you a few photos and details from the best day of my life!
Thank y'all so much for stopping by. May your day be as beautiful as you are!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Started the morning off with a phone call to my love!
(Phone Cover: Claire's)
I was so lucky to have these amazing girls with me on my wedding day... love them to pieces!
When it came to my belt, it was all about the bling and sparkle!
Although I initially planned to splurge, in typical fashion, I found my wedding shoes at DSW
(Shoes: Audrey Brooke).
My wedding day accessories - clutch, earrings, tennis bracelet (my 'something borrowed' from my Mom). I found this beautiful pink satin, diamond-encrusted clutch at DSW.
I just love this photo of my Bridesmaids' reaction as they see me in my wedding dress for the first time (Mom had seen me in it plenty of times before ;)
The best MOB!
Both our ceremony and reception took place at River East Art Center in Chicago, Il.
Jason and I wanted our ceremony to have a romantic feel that would elicit the feeling of love amongst the guests that surrounded us.
Our floral arrangements, by Kehoe Designs, were made up of purple and pink hues.
This was such a special moment for me and my Dad.
This was the first time I'd ever seen Jason cry. Shhh... don't tell him that I shared this one with y'all ;)
One of my favorite photos from the ceremony
Due to the columns, the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen had to be uniquely situated. I love the 'U' formation that our wedding planner, Ali Phillips, came up with last minute.
You may now kiss the Bride!
We're Married!
Brutus was waiting for us outside of the ceremony!
And, he stuck around to get some cute photos with Mom and Dad in his tuxedo!
He always keeps me laughing!
Our Wonderful Bridal Party
Yep, always laughing :)
I'm so glad I decided to do this. I spotted this idea on Pinterest and thought it would be such a wonderful gift for my Dad. I had this photo framed and gave it to him this past Christmas - he loved it!
For place cards, we used these 2x3 crystal frames.
During cocktail hour, the venue was transformed to serve as the reception space.
Our Wedding Cake - Vanilla Cake with Salted Caramel and Cream Cheese Frosting from Bittersweet. I'm so looking forward to having a bite of this on our 1-Year Anniversary!
The last picture of the night... heading home as husband and wife!
