Happy Monday - I hope y'all had a lovely weekend! 

Can I just start right off by saying that I'm totally in love with these palazzo pants?! The high waistline creates the illusion of longer legs (yes, please!) and the bold, colorful print is so fun for summer! Now, I have to admit, I was very reluctant to try this trend out at first. I'm rather short (at 5'4) and have a very athletic build, so I assumed that the wide-leg fit would make me appear short and compact. However, I've been pleasantly surprised every time I've tried on palazzo pants! 

For today's look, I'm letting these vibrant pants speak for themselves by pairing them with neutral accessories. While it might not seem like it, I did put a lot of effort into choosing the right top. I initially paired these pants with a simple black tank top (like this), but decided against it when the lines of the tank, along with the wide-leg pants, gave me a boxy look. I decided on the halter-top because the neckline draws the eye inwards and upwards and creates the illusion of a lengthy, narrow frame (again, yes, please)!
