I'm so excited it's finally Wednesday! Tonight after work, Jason and I (and Brutus, of course) are heading to Minneapolis, where we will spend the 4th of July holiday with my family. As I mentioned in my previous post, the 4th of July is my absolute favorite holiday, so I'm literally dying for this work day to be over so we can peace out of town!
So this dress... super stink'n cute, huh?!? I really wish there was a way for me to let you feel the fabric out of which this dress is made because it is seriously so great. In fact, it's so well-made that when I wore it out last, I actually had 2 women ask me what designer I was wearing. Gosh, I really wish y'all could have seen their faces when I excitedly replied, "Forever 21!" Anyways, for today's look, I've taken a more casual approach to this modern, retro polka dot dress by adding a trendy crossbody bag, a chunky heel sandal and a pair of blue metallic aviators. While this dress can certainly be worn with a pair of high-heel sandals and a chic clutch, I wanted to create a cute daytime outfit that would be perfect for hanging out with friends on a gorgeous Chicago summer day.
