Today's look is an edgy take on one of the most romantic color combos. While I absolutely love an overall soft and feminine look, and can totally see myself wearing this top with a pair of pale pink trousers (maybe these) and pointy-toe pumps (maybe these), I had an urge to toughen up this dainty knit sweater. What do y'all think... how would you style this sweater?

Is it too soon for another post involving leather? I guess this would be a good time to admit that I have an obsession with leather (faux-leather, that is), and you may see me wearing it a lot now that cooler temps are here to stay. 

One of my favorite things about leather is that it allows me to create a look that is chic and sexy with almost anything in my preexisting wardrobe. I absolutely love pairing leather bottoms with feminine blouses - particularly those blouses which include girlie accents (i.e., floral prints, ruffles, pale pink hues, etc.). The contrast between these two very different styles makes for an interesting, yet beautiful aesthetic, and is the perfect look for a night out with my girlfriends or hubby.

If you haven't found the perfect pair of leather leggings/pants yet, I highly recommend trying the Scuba Legging from Express. I love these because they are made out of a leather-like material and have the luster of curve-hugging scuba gear (believe it or not). While getting them on for the first time can be a bit challenging (LOL), they are incredibly comfortable and really do fit great. OMG, and I almost forgot - they can be machine washed!

Happy Tuesday! I can't tell y'all how long I've been looking for the perfect faux-leather skirt. I probably tried on 15 faux-leather skirts over the past couple of weeks, and it wasn't until I noticed an Instagram post by Kohl's with Lauren Conrad modeling a leather skirt for her LC Lauren Conrad clothing line that I became aware of this pretty thing. I love this faux-leather skirt so much because it's the perfect length and can be worn for multiple occasions (lunch with girlfriends or an evening out with the hubby). Plus, out of all of the skirts I tried, this one looks the most like real leather and has an expensive look and feel to it. I know this skirt will get lots of use this fall and winter! 

Now, how about these shoes?! O.M.G. Don't they look so much like Valentino 'Rockstud' Pumps?! I wore them for the first time this past Friday, and I had about 5 people come up and tell me they loved my Valentino shoes. Hands down, this is the BEST DSW purchase I have EVER made!

Happy Monday - I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Can y'all believe that today (as of tonight, anyways) marks the first day of fall?! As much as I love cozy knits and a new pair of beautiful boots, I'm quite sad to see the summer go. However, while the summer weather will soon be a thing of the past, there are some items from my summer wardrobe that won't be. 

Some of y'all may remember this post, where I created the perfect summer ensemble with this beautiful accordion maxi skirt. I loved this skirt then, and I love it even more now. The cream hue of this skirt makes it an appropriate choice for the fall season, and when paired with a leather moto-jacket, suede open-toe booties and an oversized scarf, this skirt seems like it was made for an early fall day.

By cute and cozy I'm referring to this American Eagle sweater... although, I can totally see why you may have thought otherwise! I've always been a huge fan of blanket sweaters for the fall season, and I've built quite the collection over time. However, the majority of sweaters that I already own are either black, white or black and white, so I was super excited to find one that was so different than what I already have. I love the light grey and scarlet coloring for fall, as these colors are not to harsh or dark, and are perfect for a chilly, yet sunny, fall day. Plus, you can't beat the price - $49.95!
